Compuware at the Cabin

7-25-10

This weekend (Friday and Saturday) was the 3rd annual "Compuware at the cabin" outing. We originally had 8 scheduled, but a couple backed out leaving us with 6. We took off around our usual lunch time and headed north up Hwy 35 to the Time Out Sports Bar & Grill, our usual lunch spot for this trip. We arrived around 2:00p.m. Pitchers of beer were flowing and everyone ate a good base of greasy food. We picked up a bottle of Jeremiah weed sweet tea at the off sale at the Time Out. We headed towards the cabin and stopped at Grantsburg for some lemonade and gas. We arrived at the cabin around 3:30 or so and unpacked. Everyone got a quick tour and then we headed out on the pontoon for our booze cruise.

After a run around the lake, we decided to head down the river a bit. We didn't have a lot of gas, so I just gave them a taste of the river. We came back and all got in the lake and "floated like cornflakes --Riviere"

Recker decided that he was a professional and started downing beers like a mad man. I think I saw him drink like 10 beers over only a couple of hours or so. He even got to the point as to finishing off the bottle of Jeremiah Weed sweet tea himself:

I remember telling Recker myself, "It's a marathon, not a sprint". I believe his response was "Oh, don"t worry.."

Towards the end of our floating session, Riviere decided he was going to be cool... 'nuff said:

Eventually Suss needed to head back to cook all of us drunks dinner, so I quickly drove him back and he got to work. After a bit longer in the lake, we all decided we should head back in and get some dinner. We really did a pretty solid job of destroying a fair amount of alcohol in a little over 3 hours.
